Eclipse Designed Website wins Irish E-Government Award
At a ceremony in the Four Seasons Hotel last night, Cork City Council were presented with the Best Local Irish eGovernment Award for their website. We would like to congratulate Cork City Council and we are thrilled to have been a part of their success.

Eclipse Designed Website is Nominated for an E-Government Award
The Irish eGovernment Awards, now in their fourth year, have quickly become an important benchmark for recognising excellence in Irish eGovernment services and standards. Cork City Council's website has been nominated for the Best Local Irish eGovernment Award.

NUI Maynooth Website Launched
The brand new NUI Maynooth website has just gone live. This large scale project has been underway for 6 months and our aim was to provide excellence to the NUI Maynooth web presence. The new website has been designed to give an equivalence of access to users across systems, browsers, devices and operating systems and special care was taken to ensure that the site would cater for as many user groups as possible.

Eclipse designed website wins Golden Spider award!

We are delighted to announce that the website for Cork City Council scooped the Golden Spider for Best Public Sector website in the Local category at a ceremony held in the Burlington Hotel on the 1st of December 2005.
The Golden Spiders Awards were established to promote and reward excellence in the internet industry and have become an established landmark in Irish business.

We are thrilled to announce that two of our websites have been shortlisted for this years awards. Cork City Council and Lifetimelab.ie have both been shortlisted in the Best Public Sector category.

Lifetime Lab launched
We are delighted to announce the launch of our latest website - Lifetime Lab. Lifetime Lab is located at the old Cork City Waterworks which was responsible
for supplying water to the city of Cork over the past 3 centuries. The old buildings and
machinery have been carefully restored and are now being used to tell the story
of how water was supplied to Cork City in the past. The website showcases the many areas of interest within Lifetime Lab and was designed to appeal to children and adults alike. As with all our work, a special emphasis was placed on usability and accessibility so that the site can serve the greatest number of people possible.

This small brochure website for ABÚ IPM was launched in April 2006
- Admissions Office NUI Maynooth launched 21/07/05
The new website for the Admissions Office at NUI Maynooth was launched on the 21st of July 2005. The site pays particular attention to the various groups who may be interested in taking admission at the university, and uses strong photgraphic elements to give prospective students an idea of what the student experience at NUI Maynooth is like. In addition, the new site has been designed to be accessible to all users, across differing browsers and devices.

The Connect Cork project is a Cork City Council initiative aimed at increasing awareness and usage of online technology across the city of Cork. Eclipse developed the logo, branding & identity plus the website for this project, which was launched by Mr Micheal Martin, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment at a launch in Cork on Monday 27th June 2005.

- READISCOVER your local library, June 05
We have created a new website for the Library Council to celebrate the 150th anniversary of of the Public Libraries Act. The site uses blogging software which gives it a newsy, micro-publishing feel and which also enables it to be easily updated by many libraries around the country. The READISCOVER site will contain information on events which will be taking place in local libraries, and it was launched on June 20th, 2005.

This website was designed from scratch to take into account issues of access and usability. A simple navigation structure was used throughout and many access features for navigation were built into the site to help all users browse the site.

- NIRSA Site Launched 10/05/05
The NIRSA (The National Institute for Regional and Spatial Analysis) website has just been launched. The new site was developed with usability and accessibility in mind and acts as a portal to the many partners and research areas involved with the NIRSA project.
